X-ROM 512 Mb
Software
Now its time for me to try to transfer
some games into the cart. But before that let me show
you what i got defaultly in the cart.
The cart was built in with Pogoshell 2.0b3
and they have freeware games like Arkanoid. Some text
file even Megaman2 (unplayable though. Ithink its just a
song plugin) Also theres some Utilities in the rom it
self like GBThread.gba which testing a multithread
processing on the GBA i tihkn theres numbers and etc
going on like Latest Prime numbers and Latest Fibonacci
numbers. I dont knw what those are try it your self
;)
So now i need to figure out how the hell
can i transfer the rom into the Cart. So i did a few
readings (since theres no manual given LOL) and it turns
out its quite simple.
1. Downlaod
Little Writer and install (if you already have one
ok)
2. Turn off Your GBA plug in the XROM with the
GBA attach to it to your PC 3. Turn on Your GBA press
START & SELECT 5 seconds till u hear a
"Teleleleng...." sounds which in fact the Nintendo logo
below the Gameboy Animation dissapears. 4. Then turn
on little writer and youll here a "Triinngggg..." on
your GBA which then your GBA turns black.
At this time little writer has connected
with your GBA FLASH CART thru your GBA ;) isnt this COOL
!!! Little writer then said that it wasnt made by little
writer so u have to format the cart.. just format it
;)
I got an error the firs time i tried to
erase the cart by RIGHT CLICK - ERASE. So then i just
click the CARD --> FORMAT then it worked. It takes
quite a while to format the cart. Lol it even has the
easybuy2000.com wallpaper on the little writer. Nice ;)
so total format time more less 2 minutes.
---
-----------
After i
format the cart then i erase the cart. Then Little
Writer will prompt u to use Multiple GBA ROM or single.
I just choose multiple in the meantime to try out all
the pokemon roms in one cart ;)
Well what do u know. It all fits with a
little extra space behind. So now im trying to flash it
and see how long will it take ... hope my GBA Battries
doesnt run out. I think this might take some of your GBA
battery life since that it uses the GBA as an interface
between the cart and the PC.
Flashing .... (flashing icon is annoying
though it keeps flashing) LOL
I
tought it was almost finished ... 4 min 56
sec which infact it was only the Pokemon
Sapphire was being flashed. So theres 4 more roms needed
to be flashed. So each rom 128Mbit size takes around
5min or so to flash. So 512 will take 20 Minutes
...
*bumped* ......... i tot USB was
faster than the old parrallel ;) 5min tops.
bah .. its still better than the old flash
linker. You dont need extra power supply and this
flashed directly thru your gameboy.
21 Minutes 01 seconds later ....
Now its time to rock an roll ... turned off your GBA and enjoy the games ;) what a great unit to have.
